The Ehrnrooth Foundations
The Ehrnrooth Foundations are four independent non-profit foundations that support scientific research, education, culture, and societal projects in Finland through grants and awards. The foundations were established between 1935 and 1991 by various members of the Ehrnrooth family.
Today, the Ehrnrooth Foundations provide significant annual support, particularly to the Finnish scientific community, cultural sector, and society at large.

Established 1935
Supports scientific research in especially the humanities, social sciences, and bio sciences.

Magnus Ehrnrooth Foundation
Established 1963
Supports basic research in the natural sciences by awarding grants for researchers in mathematics, physics, chemistry, medical chemistry, and astronomy.

Established 1987
Supports medical research in ophthalmological and gastroenterological diseases.

Louise & Göran Ehrnrooth Foundation
Established 1991
